Choose a free domain with one of the following extensions: ch, at, biz, com, de, es, fr, info, net or org. If you like, you can move an existing domain to SaaS Web. Other extensions are optional. This feature is only available for packages XL and higher (running on an own VM).
1 free SSL certificate
The communication between your computer and the server needs to be encrypted as sensitive/personal data will be transmitted. SaaS Web offers a certificate for one domain (with and without www prefix). On demand, an other type of certificate or existing one that you already own can be set up. The L package operates on a shared Nextcloud instance which is secured by a SaaS Web certificate.

SaaS Web sets up the original Nextcloud distribution - you have all the features at disposal without any restriction.
Core and plugins updates
SaaS Web uses monitoring software but also keeps informed via mailing lists, community memberships and personal contacts in order to update the systems and applications on time. Some updates are automatic, others are manual, all manipulation is monitored and safe, so that a broken update can be reverted directly without further consequences.
Daily full backups of the hosted Nextcloud application
SaaS Web runs daily full backups of your application known as disaster recovery. In between, during update/upgrade actions, the application might be backuped additionally (in case an update would fail, we can recover your Nextcloud instance directly).
Intrusion & malware detection
You can’t prevent attacks, you can only protect and defend yourself. SaaS Web does regularly malware checks and uses sevral techniques in order to detect malicious activities at earliest stages (honeypots, blacklists).

Detailed informationen about Managed Nextcloud
Nextcloud is a private online storage for document of all types. On the one hand you have the nicely styled webinterface from which you can amanage your storage space and enhance it with extensions if you desire. On the other hand, you can install the desktop app which is a sync client so you can integrate Nextcloud on your computer as if it would be a folder. The advantage to a regular folder is that it synchronises the content with your online space automatically. Also, there is a mobile app available for both Android or IOS based smartphones, so you can access your data from everywhere and share it with your colleagues.
Store and share documents
Für die Nutzung von Nextcloud gibt es im Prinzip 2 Möglichkeiten: zum Einen können Daten über die Weboberfläche hoch- oder runtergeladen werden. In der Weboberfläche alleine lassen sich zudem die Daten mit anderen teile. Eine zu installierende Anwendung für den Desktop-Rechner (sog. Syncclient) richtet ein lokales Laufwerk ein, welches immer mit dem Online Speicher synchron gehalten wird. Darüber hinaus gibt es auch eine (kostenpflichtige) App für iOS und Android jeweils in dem Apple App Store bzw. Google Play Store.
Automatic sync of the data
Auch wenn keine Internetverbindung besteht - Stichwort Offline-Modus - lassen sich Daten über den Sync-Client speichern. Die Daten werden dann später automatisch nachsynchronisiert. Im Normalfall ist die Synchronisation völlig transparent, so dass ein Nutzer erst gar kein Gedanke damit verschwendet.

Nextcloud bietet Nutzern die Möglichkeit, individuell Apps zu installieren, so wie eine Baumstruktur-Anzeige für die Dateien (so wie der Microsoft File-Explorer) oder Bildergalerien uvw.
Your data in safe hands
Die Daten werden auf den Servern von SaaS Web gespeichert. Die Server befinden sich in Europa, genauer gesagt in Frankreich in einem sicheren Rechenzentrum (Tier IV) des Infrastruktur-Partners. Bei Bedarf kann auch in Deutschland (Frankfurt) gehostet werden.
Data encryption
Nextcloud unterstützt von Haus aus eine serverseitige Verschlüsselung der Daten; dabei wird das Passwort zum Einloggen auch zum Verschlüsseln des Schlüssels genutzt. Somit ist es auch für SaaS Web nicht einfach möglich ist, die Daten zu entschlüsseln.
